Our History
The company under the name P. Sarikas – A. Kalenderian S.A. has been active in the import, trade, and processing of meat since 1956 and has consistently associated its name with quality, reliability, and competitive prices.
The company started in 1947 by Artin Kalenderian with a butcher shop in Vardaris and gradually expanded into wholesale trading. Later in 1955, with Polytimos Sarikas, they relocated to the New Market of Thessaloniki where they established P. Sarikas – A. Kalenderian General Partnership, exclusively focusing on import and trade In 1980, the founders’ children joined the company, introducing new development prospects.
In 2003, the company relocated to the Central Market of Thessaloniki at the 7th km of the Thessaloniki-Athens National Road, into new facilities equipped with modern processing, cutting, thawing, packaging, mincing, freezing, and meat storage equipment. Our modern facilities comply with all technical hygiene and safety specifications required by Greek and European legislation.
Progress continued when in 2016, the third and youngest generation entered dynamically into the company, contributing to its expansion.
The company’s steady and long-term journey and growth over the years are attributed to the experience and diligence of its shareholders, the efforts of our employees, and the trust shown by our customers.

Promises
In our premises, we handle and process beef and pork – lambs and goats, fresh chicken and turkey, as well as premium meats and cuts, such as Black Angus, Wagyu, Japanese Black (Kobe beef, etc.), premium beef, Iberico pork, and a wide variety of frozen meats – standardized and packaged, which we source from selected suppliers and farms with strict criteria worldwide (Greece, Europe, America, Australia, Uruguay, Argentina, New Zealand). We also have the appropriate equipment for packaging pieces of beef and pork in vacuum (vacuum-sealed).
Product Quality
The company has established a food safety management system in accordance with the International Standard for the development and operation of Food Safety Management Systems and is certified with ISO 22000:2018. Accredited laboratories and bodies systematically conduct sampling and food inspection, thereby ensuring the excellent quality of the meats we source from major certified houses abroad that meet high breeding and production standards, as well as from livestock farms/producers throughout Greece that also adhere to similar standards.
